A lot of Montages in the Oscars

The effect that the writers’ strike had on the 80th Annual Oscars was definitely noticeable. I mean I love the Oscars, and I love all the effort that was put into it; but I could definitely tell that they were struggling for words and comments!
There had to have been a montage every other award! Do not get me wrong, I LOVE montages. They bring memories back to life. But when there is a million montages it kind of ruins the point of having a montage because it makes them not as important or special!
I never really understood why everyone was freaking out about the outcome of the Oscars due to the strike. I did connect them, but I really did not connect that the writers write the entire show. I know that sounds stupid, but it just never connected.
I think this strike has had positive outcomes! Because I think people now are beginning to realize how important those writers really are to all the entertainment that is enjoyed. We can’t even have a successful awards show with out a paid staff of writers write something clever for the presentation of an award. I am glad that those struggling writers are getting the recognition they have clearly deserved for a long time.
