How often is too often?

Over Thanksgiving break, I went to visit my old high school. It was like a reunion with so many people going back to school to visit. I loved my high school and going back was actually kind of weird. It was not what I expected it to be. The same teachers were there and not much had changed, it just wasn’t what it used to be. Before there was this sense of belonging, now it didn’t feel like it. I felt so out of place and realized that it also had to do with me getting used to college life and realizing that this is my place. Of course there are the people who go back more aften than they should. It is where I belong and it will be my home for the next 4 years.

It took some time to let go of high school because it was 4 great years. Great friendships were made and great relationships with teachers were also formed. I miss sitting there during my lunch period with my French teacher just chatting about life. It’s the little things that always make the difference. However, time for that is over. That’s what roommates are for. I wonder where I’d be without my lovely roommates.

Yeah, I never felt that connection with high school because I know that college is the real world and high school drama is just a bunch of empty worthless life destroying junk. High school doesn't matter because you will never so your classmates again.
