For the past couple of years our government has been having monetary problems and one of the governments main expenditures are public schools. because of this the government has been cutting the budget for public schools. This is wrong because those kids who the government is hurting are going to grow up to be the worlds doctors, teachers, engineers, and politicians.
Cutting the budget for public schools means less teachers, less textbooks, bigger class sizes, and therefore the children don't get as good of an education as they could be getting. My question is why are we cutting money from the future citizens of our world when we could cut other budgets instead? This seems like a wrong solution to our nations monetary problems. By doing what we are doing we are only hurting ourselves in the long run.
If this problem were solved students wouldn't have to carry textbooks back and forth from home to school because the schools would have enough books for the students to have a home set and a class set. This would mean less back aches and back injuries in these children and adolecents.
Class sizes could also be smaller because there could be more teachers at each school. The students could have more one on one time with their teachers to get the help they need because there would be less students for each teacher to help.
This decision by our government has been a mistake and they need to find an alternative method to solve their problems. The children are our future and by giving them a good education we ensure the future of our country will be in good hands.

Some schools are bad enough as it is, so what gives the government the idea that a cut on school funding is going to help the nation? We need the proper education so we can achieve better things in life. The government is taking away our opportunity to help the future of the nation. I believe that with this budget cut, many more Americans will end up homeless within the next 10 years. It is wrong to do this to the public school system, many schools will lose very qualified teachers resulting in many students losing an opportunity to get quality education.

I completely agree. Not only is it compromising our future but it's taking jobs away from teachers. The government needs to find another way to solve their problems than by hurting the students.
