thoughts that i just had to get off my brain

I think that people create our nature through our nurture. People were created to be multidimensional, plastic, molded like clay, and dynamic. I believe that people were made this way for a reason. I always hear about how much our nature influences our temperament. Then, I hear about how it is the environment we live in that shapes our personality. Our temperament and personality make us who we are. The endless possibilities of personalities and temperaments create infinite combinations of individuals. Through culture, individuals learn to identify or not identify with a group. In a perfect world, parents model societal and cultural expectations to their children. In today's world, TV has been more influential in that aspect of teaching children what is expected of them in this world. I shudder to think that somehow people will program the wrong ideas and expectations into children by the choices people make today to not model correct expectations to children. This world is being rented to us by the children of today. How well we treat our children and this world today will influence the children and world of tomorrow. I believe that the choices we make as to how we cope with the world around us is programmed into our brains. I believe that we alter ourselves on a daily basis as we learn new things. If we stop learning new things, then what? If we make choices that affect us negatively, then what? Is that what we want to pass onto our children? I know that I don't. A part of me is going to live on after I die if I choose to be a parent. I must choose to be the best person I can so that when I am reborn, I will be born with an advantage over my previous self. That is why I must think about who I choose to be my partner when I recreate myself. If I want an advantage, then I want to choose someone who will complement me and make me a better person. I want to be in love and be loved by someone, then pass that love on to a child to live on after I am gone. Then, I hope that my child will choose to walk such a path through life to be reborn with an even greater knowledge and advantage. It's like evolution on a very microscopic scale. People must keep evolving and changing for a greater good. It is imperative to our survival and transcendence toward a beautiful and good world, also known as a heaven on earth? It is foretold in some stories I've heard from different tribes that this world will end and the next world is like...the perfect world. That sounds to me like heaven on earth. I figure that it can be achieved. I'm optimistic that every single person on this earth can change for the greater good. I'm concerned however when I see how people neglect their children, themselves, and this world. I see how it affects people around them, and how it in turn affects the world we all live in. I pray that everyone sees how the small choices they make every moment of their lives has a significance and a power that affects the entire world. I pray that everyone begins to understand and transcend consciousness so that a change takes place in this world. After all of these years of wars, disease, hatred, poverty, and crime...I think it is time for people to evolve to the next level. It starts today with small changes and the desire to seek out the good and positive out of every experience life has to offer. I'm sick and tired of hearing about all the horrible stuff in this world. It's sad. I wish it could change. I wish everyone in the world would take the responsibility every person in the world has to create changes in the world around them to serve an intrinsic greater good, not an extrinsic monetary reward. The greed in this world is maddening...and I see no reason for it. What does that make me? All I know is that Native people were living life pretty free with liberty, justice, and all of that fun stuff Americans love to buy into. But I don't see true freedom. What my people had in the past sounds more like freedom than anything I've ever heard in my life, and I've heard about all of the ancient and modern civilizations of this world...I wish that my ancestors could have taught the early settlers more. Obviously, the only knowledge those settlers wanted from my ancestors was knowledge that would make them rich. Instead of learning about what is really important in life from my ancestors, the settlers chose to take the knowledge they wanted so that they could be rich. Then, they killed, imprisoned, assimilated, and humiliated my ancestors and it continues today. ok..i gotta stop now..

i'd make a comment about what you wrote, but it'd be way too hard for me to sound even remotely intelligent within such a powerful blog as this. i mostly just wanted to make sure you knew i was the one that gave you five stars! i'm just thoughtful like that...

Could you break up that paragraph a little? It makes it easier to read if it's in smaller chunks.

I've heard a saying that we are only a reaction to every person we've ever met. I think that's a good way to look at it. Our genes do play an important role in who we are, because like it or not, how we look determines how other people treat us, at least partly. It's an interesting thing to think about.
