The Seasons are Confused

Tagged:

My boyfriend and I were in discussion today about the weather. We live in Michigan, so around this time it's suppose to be cold... very, very cold. Well, it's cold to me. However... this year, like today, it was 80 degrees! That's August or early September weather. It's been like that all week, too. The leaves haven't really changed color either so it doesn't look anywhere near to what fall should be in Michigan.

So, we decided the seasons are confused. That or they got pushed forward.

Last April, around Easter to be exact, it snowed! Doesn't it usually rain? I woke up Easter morning and there was a lining of white outside. Summer got a late start, too. I don't think that it actually got hot until very late July. It was a very mild summer to say the least. I remember when I was 10 and I couldn't go outside, because the humidity made it 103 degrees outside.

My point to this is we can't really blame this on global warming, which a lot of people were using as an excuse when I asked why its so hot in October. We think the seasons got pushed like month forward which is making my head spin.

I live in Michigan too. Today we went simming in our neighbor's outdoor pool. Granted it was heated, most Michiganders close their pools down on Labor Day weekend.

I remember having white X-mases and skiing until my legs gave out. Last winter I only got in 3 runs the whole season.

I thought only the weather in NY in messed up. lol One day it's cold and the next day it's hot. I get sick a lot. If we can't blame on global warming and the crap we put into the air, what can we blame?

The Earth's climate is known to gradually change. Just take a look at the history books. I think Global Warming has contributed a massive blow to our temp changes, but I don't think its the sole cause.
