All The Small Things

It's funny and kind of strange how many people will go on about how wonderful, how beautiful, and how fabulous their friends, family, and even total strangers look, but will totally look past their own beauty. Many people look at themselves in the mirror seeing everything that they think is wrong with their body image. All the small things that others would probably never see. Things that others would look past. Unfortunately, people can only do this with others and only others. Not so much themselves.

It's too bad many people get really hung up on the little things. For some, it takes a lot to believe a simple compliment. Maybe it's the media. Maybe it's the environment. Maybe it's just something they never get to hear very often. Either way it can just be hard.

People can be so self-conscious. If all the small things wouldn't matter. If they could see that the small things they see are really just small things.

But ahh, how great it is to feel the confidence to look past the small things that can haunt us all. You have to admit that there are times when everyone feels a little self-conscious. But yes, how great it is to feel good about yourself. How nice it is to finally not have to worry about that. And how nice it is to have someone help you with that feeling. To reassure you when you're down. To help make the good feeling last.

And if it lasts, it sets everything in motion. All the confidence leads to less worry. Less worry leads to better days to happier moments. Nicer times. Lovelier feelings. It's just nice to have your confidence lead to nicer things to happen. And all the small things in your life don't even compare to the great things that can come from simply not worrying.

Nice topic. This DOES need to come out. Walking down the hallways I heard people talking about little things that aren't even important in the grand scheme of things--girls complaining about how they don't have a boyfriend, how they don't have the latest skinny jean. How selfish right?! there are more important things in the world and they need to focus on how lucky they really are and the things they have--like food, clothing, an education, family...you know. that kinda stuff. I hear ya girl! =)

So while I am here: Check out my TWO BEST BLOGS! I want to try to spread awareness about various subjects and to spark great discussion! So help me do just that, you're input is wanted and greatly appreciated!

I really think that the topics I present are
unique and that you'll find them interesting. My intentions are sincere: awareness and great discussion. HAPPY BLOGGING! =D

I know what you mean, I was lucky to learn that at an early age so I can move past that in my adult life. I always wanted name brand clothes or to look thiner so I wouldn't eat and then I would look great. Now I don't care about all that. I care about doing my job, finishing college, all the stuff that does matter. My life has turned out a lot better than it was if I cared about the minor details.

Couldn't have said it better!
