Consider, if you will, the philosophical implications of evolution. The genetic pool is strengthen through the removal of inferior traits. If the purpose of life is to survive and reproduce, why should competition be considered such a crude term in progressive thinking?
Also take note of Nietzsche's thoughts on morality, there is clearly no set moral standard. Different cultures believe in entirely contrasting lifestyles, making moral relativism a logical conclusion.
Add Darwin's ideas to that of Nietzsche and it is not hard to understand how the original fascists were born. These men and women held the belief that society should constantly evolve through rigorous and unending competition. They were mislead, however, straying from the steely logic of evolution and relativism back to pathetic European habits and customs. I am speaking primarily, of course, of the acceptance of religion as well as the annihilation of minority groups within their countries. For example, Jews were not genetic inferiors to the majority of "Aryan" Germans. They were excluded for completely illogical reasons. It was there that fascism lost its potential as a mainstream ideal.
Removing racism and superstition from fascism, the core of its logic is indisputable. I would like to note, however, that no government of this kind has ever been successfully assembled (but this is not a detraction, consider advocates of Communism who reject the Soviet Union as an example.)
I am not saying that I truly believe in the goals and ideals of fascism, but I merely want to provoke thought about presumably flawless logic. I challenge others to attack it at will through their responses, but I recommend you avoid the typical knee-jerk conversations facism often brings.
