I just read online that the actor Wesley Snipes is going to jail for tax evasion. Did he not learn anything fro Al Capone. (Go look that one up boys and girls, but here is the link for Wesley)

When are people going learn that the only thing you can count on is death and taxes. I am even sure you will get taxed on you death although it my be in the afterlife when you have to pay it. Damn! The government does have people everywhere.
For an actor who gets paid millions (yes even for the crappy movies) why does he think he can get a way with not doing the dead and pay the tax man. If he did not want to pay that much then he should not have made that much.
Then in true Hollywood fashion poor Wesley ask if he could make a payment as a gesture of good faith. Sorry "Blade" it look like you will be the one getting suck dry. The government will get what is coming to them, and so will you.
What does this say to he average person about Hollywood elite. You may get away with murder but not tax evasion.

I heard about this on the news awhile back. I really would love to hear his explaination is to why he didn't pay them. That is probably why I haven't seen him act in any new movies lately. Death and Taxes they both suck but both are inevitable.

I heard he joined a church. The pastor of the church, who was also convicted and sentenced to ten years, devised ways to avoid paying taxes. The pastor along with a shady accountant, also sentenced to 54 months, figured out how to file certain forms in an attempt to not report all earnings. They then preached thier findings to the congregation, which included Snipes.
The kicker is that in 2003, Snipes along with the pastor and the accountant battled the IRS for over a year citing court rulings and the constitution as reasons why they didnt have to pay taxes. This is why the Federal government went after Snipes. They wanted to send a message to all those tax evaders. Even after Snipes wrote over 5 million in checks to the government it wasn't enough. He still owed over 7 million.
