1 + I = Logical Error

How do I know what next year will be like?
How will I know if next year is different?
How can I live a different life?

What is there in next year ???
What is it that will be helpful ???
What friends will be there ???
Why is it that there are 3 question marks at the end
Of those 3 questions?

Now there will be questions
To which we know no answer for
But the answer isn’t exactly the most important
What is important is how try to get to the answer
Knowledge can never pay for experience
But Experience is the payment of a life worth living
So why is getting answer right so darn important?
Is it to show us which direction we need to take?
In our lives?
1 + 1= 2 isn’t as important as
1 + 1= Friends
The correct answer would’ve been 2
See the answer to us doesn’t matter
We care about our experiences
And things are a lot more fun
When you don’t know the correct answer

So ask me question you want
It’ll be hilarious
To see me try to answer it
For I’m still waiting
On my answers to come forth
In Life

God gives out grades really slowly

The last sentence of the poem really struck me. It made me contemplate how God really DOES "give grades out slowly". To me, He does this through affimations through other people. For example, simple things that people don't usually think of as being "from God", or "a sign" from God; when people mention that I am doing good things for myself (studying, working hard, achieving grades, awards, community service) I see that as affirmation from Him--telling me through other peoplem, "Hey, I am proud of what you're doing--you're on the right path."

Furthermore, I've listened to a speech by a seminarian. He said that he wanted to go to med. school. I'll say that again, his personal desire was to attend medical school. Then many people--friends, family, and strangers--would come to him and mention to him some variation suggesting becoming a seminarian. After a while, he felt something pulling him in the direction of the church. All the same, people continued to mention a vocation in the church in conversations with this man. He gave in, and said to the audience that he feels this is path and that he is fullfilled as a seminarian--content.

So in the light of God giving out grades slowly, I agree. In my experiences I see the grades you mention being subtle affirmations from God.

Thanks for the poem! The idea is start. =)

yeah, this poem is from my past really, 2 years ago... and now that I've taken another look at it, you're absolutely right. There is nothing in our own plans that could add up to God's Final Answer... huh. wow cool lol

An Angel says hello as I say Good bye, hoping nothing may be sighed.

Cut down on rhetorical questions, they rarely say anything. And, although it seems you were going for style in this post, what came out seems jumbled and confused. I get your message, Experience is more valuable than knowledge, eg. the journey is more important than the destination. But I can put it in one sentence, not a jumbled pargraphlike blurp. Not to offend, but just work a little more on clarification in your writing.
