Here's what I've been going through, for the last week or so, as told to my boyfriend (who is still in the states). His cute little comments have been left in.

So, like. PMS mess. So I started taking BC pills. And last week was my week off of them, for having the period and whatnot.

The second day I'm off, I get a huge headache. This headache renders me unable to sing at a show we're supposed to play, and unable to skank while I'm not onstage.

birth-control, low-dose hormone, etc.

I take them because my menstrual cycle was absolutely hell. Unpredictable as hell, could go 3 months or 2 weeks without a period, then god knows what was happening with it. Unbalanced estrogen levels, blah blah. I finally talked Val into going to get them like a month ago, after FIVE YEARS ASDFJKL.

I know. Hence, "Period." But it didn't happen that way, so blah blah, taking them to balance everything.

My week off just gets better from there. The headache lasts for three days. I can't take any pain relief pills we have because they all have caffeine and aspirin, which are bloodthinners. It would make the period I'm having worse. So I deal with it.

And then I get a cramp. Like. bad cramp. I've never had them before in my life. Ever ever ever. But these are like. Making me cry in the middle of class, feels like I'm getting stabbed cramps. And they lasted for a couple of hours, nonstop. Not even like in waves like girls are supposed to get. But like, feels like my insides are being peeled out with a veggie-peeler bad.

And then I'm "passing clots" in the period I'm having, which means that basically I'm producing these literally egg-sized black hunks from my vagina.

The entire time I'm off I'm going fucking insane. Like. Severe severe severe severe moodswings, like. Sitting in class and bursting out in tears moodswing. Can't talk to the teachers because when they look at me I cry. Basically I'm having a week of severe bipolar disorder, and I'm always tired. So I sleep in class, I sleep when I get home, I sleep on the bus, I barely pay attention.

So after four days of this and telling Val I needed to go to the doctor she's like, ALright, but only if you shut the fuck up. So I go to the doctor. She listens to me and she's like, Well that happens sometimes with these polycystic ovarian blah blah I dont' know what she called it.

And she tells us what I've been telling Val for years, which is that MY PERIODIC BLEEDING ISN'T SO PERIODIC, IT'S MORE LIKE HAI KID, WE'RE GONNA BLEED REALLY BADLY FOR LIKE THREE DAYS NOW AND THEN NOT FOR THE REST OF THE MONTH BUT THE BEGINNING OF THE MONTH WILL BE ALL SPOTTY KTHXBAI

And she's like. You should've gotten more predictable since you started the very first time, and you have a history of familial cervical cancer. So. She changed my BC pills and gave me one with a mild antidepressant in it, but instead of a constant high dose of estrogen and progesterone (or whatever) it's like ^, where it slowly increases and decreases.

And she scheduled me to get my ovaries ultrasounded Monday to make sure I'm not all cancerous and whatnot.
Consequently, I'm a little concerned. If anyone who casually passes this has any input or any experience with this kindof thing, it would be really appreciated.
