I dont fully comprehend this concept. They call the poor dirt poor. They call the rich filthy rich. Now when you imagine poor people you usually associate them with dirt, not being properly groomed. Now filthy rich is an oximoron. When your rich you are clean, well taken care of, freshly manicured, hair trimmed and done. But why is it that they are given these names.
Where were these statements coined. How were they brought about.
I would really like if someone could give me an explanation on the terms. Maybe one dirt poor person, but that menas they wouldnt have a computer so they couldnt. And one filthy rich person.
Maybe it means when you reach a certain point of wealthiness your attitude becomes filthy. A filthy aura begins to surround you and the new found siddity attitude.

I'm not dirt poor, yet. And I highly doubt any filthy rich person would condecend to reply to you. I'd like to say this - they are both rather derogatory terms, though filthy seems more insulting than dirt, which cannot seem helped. People like to be in the happy medium, or rather, people would like everyone to be middle-class if they themselves cannot be filthy rich. So in a sense, both these terms carry an emphasis on the happy middle-classed state. You don't want to be filthy rich because everyone'd hate you, and you don't want to be dirt poor because that's degrading in itself.
I have no idea, however, how these statements were brought about. I'm not going to speculate on how wealthy people become siddity. That's what Hollywood says. The fact is, sudden wealth is a tragedy, just as beauty might be. If you're suddenly wealthy, you might suddenly find youself slathered with ingratiating 'friends' or, if you're unwise, quickly dirt poor again. If you're drastically beautiful it'll be more difficult for you to find 'true love' and as you age you'll feel desperate to maintain that beauty to keep your love 'true'.
I'm sure, however, that the rich never named themselves filthy.
Back when the sayings where created, that the rich were so rich they were filthy. Filthy meaning:
mean
obscene and offensive
bad-tempered and aggressive
to an extreme and often disgusting extent : he has become filthy rich.
Do you get it now? The term, dirt poor, no longer applies today (really). Their are homeless people who have money, just not enough for a home. That's why they're homeless.
