So this might not get the most views or comments in the world, but I just thought i needed to make a comment about it. So I shall.
Now I have been using the Internet for a long time, had used many of its features but had never actually looked into blogs or blogging. I though that it sounded pretty lame, to be honest. It was something that I thought only super geeks or über-nerds would get involved with. I don't know why I thought this, I just did.
But au contraire my friends! Blogging is pretty awesome. And it is not only reserved for those who are socially challenged and so must resort to blogging with others like them from across the world. Blogging is for everyone. In fact, I would recommend that everyone get involved in blogging.
It is great for many different reasons. It lets people vent their anger and opinions for the day, in a positive and non-lethal manner. It generates positive and involving discussion about topics that are important and directly related to what you want to talk about. And what is best, people actually listen. Sometimes it seems that the people around you just don't have enough time, or are too caught up in other events to listen. As a blogging community, there are always people ready to listen and talk about, well, basically anything.
When I first got on here, I did not think anyone would want to read what I had to say. They don't know me, I thought, why should they ever care what my opinions are. So, here's one to blogging. And ProgressiveU as well. And to every other blogger or reader out there. I deem you officially cool!

I agree...I have never blogged or really even been on many blogging sites and I admit I was definitely against them....but now I am definitely enjoying this experience. I think blogging on this site has allowed me to reflect on my thoughts, conversations I've enjoyed (or not enjoyed) and thus I have discovered that blogging is a great form of expression. ProgressiveU is unique, I think, because mostly people are having intelligent, thoughtful discussions that mean something...not just about are daily activities or unimportant details.
I think you are correct that ProgressiveU has a group of subscribers who are intelligent and willing to talk and discuss important facets of everyday life or general problems and ideas in society. It is a great way to vent about problems and to discuss things that are on our minds. And it just helps people connect, which is always a benefit in our crazy society.
