I was watching the Today Show yesterday and they were showing a list of bad baby names. When they first went to commercial, I thought, 'oh how bad can baby names be? There are a few uncommon ones out there, but it can't be that bad.' I know there are celebrities that have strange names for their child. And people want to be unique with the names, fair enough.
Here is the link to bad baby names: http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/23631411/
Who would name their child after one of the seven deadly sins? Why would you want to name the child after a deadly sin? I mean to name your child Greed or Lust? I know that there are people who name their child after a name in the Bible, which itself can get very weird, but after a deadly sin? And there are 149 people, on record, named Lust. That's quite a lot. Of course, there is no one names Gluttony. I wonder why?
I don't know which one is worse... being named after one of the deadly sins or being named after a disease? It seems that people named after the disease lived in the 1800's. Maybe their parents discovered the disease and decide to name it after their child. Who knows?

there was a girl at my school named expensive. that was bad. the cool names ive heard are lavender, taya, amethyst
How about this for torture?
Kyd: Kid of David Duchovny and Tea Leoni
They named their child KYD! How awful?
"Come here Kyd"
"Don't do that Kyd"
"Say hi Kyd"
Ridiculous!
I kid, kyd.
People in the 1800s weren't named after diseases. The diseases were named after them.
