I really hate attending public schools, especially the schools in bad cities and neighborhoods. No, what I really hate are the poor public schools! Oh my goodness! I really regret not changing high schools when I had the chance to. No wait, I did want to change my school and I turned in a request to change schools, but since the school I wanted to attend is one of the best schools of the city, I was put on the waiting list, number 22. It sucks being the new kid in town and not knowing which school is the best one to go to!! Damn, I know! =(
So anyway, this is my last year of high school, thank God. It's been four long years, but I feel so deprived of a good education! I don't really feel prepared for college at all and it sucks! The level that most of the public high schools in my city are low! I mean, when I was a freshman, I was learning stuff I learned in the sixth grade. Yeah..
I think that the reason this is, is mainly because of lazy students (like my brother) who think that life is going to be easy and breezy in the future. It's kind of like.. Hello, News Flash.. without the proper education, there is not going to be any "easy" and "breezy" at all! Nada. But anyway, like I was sayinng, it's kind of the lazy students fault because they come to school to not learn, but fool around. I mean, sure, fool around and have fun with your friends, but damn it, when it comes for time to learn, sit your butt down and take notes!
Ah, it gets frustrating. When the time comes for these students to take their tests and they do bad, that effects the school and the way it decides to teach students. For example, my high school did bad on the test, so the city decided to shut down the school and turn it into a charter school. WTF? Hmm. I guess. I don't really care since I'm gone anyway. Only three more days left of school for me. Early senior release rocks!

Public schools sometimes suck but you make due with what you have.
