Consumers and Pornography

In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with sexuality. And under this mantra I insist that there is nothing wrong with mastrubation, desires, and fetishes. On the other hand, the sexual world is not apart from morality. That which applies to daily life should apply to our sexual lives as well. For example, if one does not find it morally justifyable to punch a friend in the face during conversation, one should not find if justifyable to punch a friend in the face during sexual intercourse. This should seem straightforward and easy to understand.

And yet, the world's current state of pornography would state otherwise. The issue at hand is not whether or not pornographic material itself it moral; it falls (in my opinion) under "nothing wrong with sexuality." The issue is whether or not the porn industry should be allowed to degrade people in such a way.

There are some pretty whacked out pornographic videos on the internet, I daresay. Things involving horses on the lighter end, and murderous rape on the darker. What one person finds an atrocity another might find kinky. Which, to return to my earlier point about sexual morality, is not alright. A morally unclean person is morally unclean, regardless of the context. To watch a woman be beaten and raped is not morally justifyable, even if it is hot when it happens. Movie titles like "Gang Raped Bitches" do nothing to deter my protest.

Most girls in pornography did not grow up with the desire to be such. Most are budding actresses, desperate for cash and a springboard for their careers. So, when they act in a film of this nature, they do not do it as a hobby or by any real choice. The porn industry sucks girls in and chews them up. It is a terrible, malicious thing and actresses rights should be regulated more by the government. But, since it's not, it's up to the consumers to make changes for these ladies.

What is it the Piper's trying to Play?

Cash comes from demand. Every male has the right to choose what he pays for, and even what he clicks for free online. There are plenty of kinky but concenting porn flicks out there, if one takes the time and energy to look. So, please boys, go for the normal stuff. It means a lot to us girls.

I've never thought about porn before.

Being a woman myself, I think that puts me at a certain disadvantage to most males in forming a justifiable openion. Now, I have thought heavily on why women choose to put themselves in the possition to "sell" their bodys for the entertainment of others. I've been propositioned numerous times to "use my assets" (my body) to win favor and money from influential individuals. But I opted not to. I don't understand how and why these females can choose to do so. Because in my openion, it is all a matter of choice. Every action is a matter of choice. I could very well be an escort, a striper or a porn star, but choose to take the scholastic route instead. These girls, reguardless of intellegence, could work towards the same means, but decide that it's in their better interests to subject themselves to such humiliation.

In a way, I guess, they don't see it that way, so their decision is simpliar. I don't know. Like I said, I just don't understand their logic behind their actions.

For the most part I agree, with an exception to one thing:

"Every male has the right to choose what he pays for, and even what he clicks for free online"

Sure men can do what they want, but as long as they don't break the law. They can see what they want, as long as the girls are OVER 18. You don't know how much "Child pornography" is out there...

As for me i think watching porn is just like watching any other type of movie. If you can watch a movie where a dude's head is getting choped off, what more can we say about porn.watching porn is just another way of entertaining yourself.

Um. The guy in the movie doesn't REALLY get his head chopped off. The chics in the porn are REALLY getting raped, sometimes. That's more the point I was trying to make...

Porn can be poisonous--like a drug or alcohol. Some people will be more affected by it than others. But for those who are affected by it, it can ruin their lives.

The problem I have with porn is more Internet porn, which is complete unregulated. Children and teenagers, curious about their own bodies and sex are going out on the Internet to learn about sex and finding websites about gangbangs, rape, beastiality and other depraved acts.

What are they learning?

A leading marriage and family therapist has said that when children are exposed to such extreme forms of pornography, they are "hard-wiring" theirselves to respond to it, to seek it out, making it difficult if not impossible to have normal relationships later in life.

People need to do something about the unregulated nature of Internet pornography. The CP80 Internet Channel Initiative is a good start (www.cp80.org).

Check it out.

The girls that get involved with these porn companies should know better by now. It ISNT going to help you become an actress, get a grip.

Any one intorested in doing somthing about the pandemic of porn, should look into the CP80 Foundation at

www.cp80.org

If they can accomplish this it could make a huge difference.

I want to thank you for this post. We all need to get the word out on this. PS I am a male who enjoys porn, and like you, I think that just because something is allowable, done for cash, or even titillating, does not make it right. PS I think it is interesting that people say that "well...it's a free market so if the girl wants to do it then it's OK..." First of all, I would ask such an apologist to consider the fact that they are just looking for an excuse to see such torture enacted. I mean do such people think that it is allright to humiliate somebody just because they are getting paid for it?? I mean capitalism is one thing, but fucking the poor for kicks is really sick. i wonder what such consumers would do if they were allowed to buy anything under the sky. I bet their lechery would have no limits...The key to morality is that it has no pricetag. If you are not able to say no to disrespect of people for kicks, then I would not trust you with any responsibility, because as far as you are concerned, you are just an opportunist.
