The perfect workout

I have found the perfect workout for legs/thighs. I originally learned this move in volleyball last fall but I have recently perfected it. So you start in a squat position - knees bent, feet slightly apart maybe a foot - then you jump leaving your legs in the squat position and bringing them up causing your feet to leave the ground. Then when you land you land in the squat position. It really works your thighs. The next day my legs were the most sore that they have been in a long time. It works better then juts plain old squats because you arent just going up and down you're also jumping which puts more stain on your muscles. Also the muscles you use when you do squats- um they're calles quads I think- are the biggest muscles in your body do therefore you burn more calories when you use them. I've also learned that push ups are a great total body work out. They dont just work you're arms. They also work you butt. your thighs, your chest and your abs. I really need to find something that really works your innerthighs and lower abs. Those are my problem areas.

Leg lifts are good for lower abs. As for your inner thighs, just run or swim.

so kinda like a froggy jump huh? Cycling is also great for the thighs and butt...lots fun too!

Squatting not only helps for a workout, but it helps in sports. I have been a cheerleader, basketball.. volleyball...softball...soccer (player), and a cross country runner. Squatting is used in softball to prepare for pop flys and grounders. As, for soccer it is used to outwit the opponent by using your butt to keep the ball in your possession (sounds gross, but true) and this is likewise for basketball. In cross country though, my butt would feel lighter and I can run faster. For volleyball, squatting obviously helped me dig balls, pass, and set by preparation. Lastly, being a cheerleader was quite embarassing and it helped me be confident when I would make my jumps, because back in the day I had to wear those things that went over your underwear (and they looked like underwear!).
