A few months ago I heard about a woman named Heather Veitch. She is a former stripper and hardcore porn star. She has a true horror story about what life in the sex industry is really like. Her account is eye-opening. She somehow became a Christian and now reaches out to those in the sex industry through preaching the gospel and trying to be nonjudgmental and loving.
Veitch and a group of friends regularly go out and visit strip clubs, pay for lap dances, then when the girls come in they talk to them about Jesus. I must say this is very weird.
I didn't know anything about the porn industry and I thought the women involved make the choice and they want to do it. But Veitch and another woman named Annie Lobert describe addictions to all types of drugs, constant physical and sexual abuse from clients, instances of nearly being killed by pimps, psychological trauma, and depression amongst many other awful things.
"I might not look like it, but I did it ALL! I tell you the truth! Prostitution (street & high class call girl), exotic strip dancing, nude modeling, drugs of every kind, sex addiction, cutting, abortions--yes and miscarriages, masturbation addiction, pornography, dominance mistressing addiction, bisexuality, men addiction, gambling, binge drinking, smoking, anorexia, bulimia, and JAIL TIME... just to name a few."
"I can't tell you how many nights I slept "alone" with a man in my bed. No one knew my secrets, my pain, and my inner shame. So in the end I hated being a prostitute and exotic dancer--and no matter what people will tell you about that lifestyle, it really does rip you apart until you have absolutely NOTHING left--and, you will lose your soul in the process!"
--- Annie Lobert, former high class call girl
Most facets of the sex industry are accepted in our society. But is it possible that there are actually people who are dying both physically and emotionally in this field? I saw on a website pictures of over three dozen porn stars who all died from either suicide, drug addiction, AIDS, or MURDER by clients.
I'm not saying we should feel sorry for these people. The point I'm trying to make is that it seems like there is a serious underlying problem hidden in the shadows of this industry, shrouded behind the excuse of "nobody's getting hurt."

Paying for a lapdance and then witnessing is sort of beyond creepy; I'm not gonna lie. If I were a stripper, and someone did that to me, I'd probably punch them in the face and then have the bouncer throw them out.

She still doesn't speak for everyone, no matter how horrifying her personal story is. She could just as easily be talking about acting, or professional wrestling. Those professions also have high rates of drug abuse, sex addiction and people with general low self esteem. I don't mean to say that the problems aren't serious but the problem is with people, not the industry.

Many boys and girls are concerned that it will hurt the first time they have sexual intercourse. It can hurt and some girls do bleed a little bit. The bleeding usually occurs because the girl has a hymen which breaks the first time she has sexual intercourse.
The hymen is a small piece of thin skin which goes across the opening of the vagina and protects it when she is young. It has some gaps in it where the blood can come out when she has her period. Sometimes a girl might already have broken her hymen without knowing about it. For example, this can happen as a result of playing sports or horse riding.
