i am somewhat torn between two colleges. one is a community college an hour away from my hometown, the other is a four year military type college 22 hours away from home. the community college is about 4 thousand for two years and the 4 year college is 5,000 for instate and 20,000 for out of state. is it really worth it to pay 22 grand for an education i could get elsewhere for maybe half the cost? every college has some type of incentive to get students to join there. wsu has the best business school in the state, cowley county gives you more options, kstate grads work everywhere in kansas, blah blah blah. how can we really know what college is best for us if we dont try out every college in the state in 4 years? there's so many majors out there and not every college offers all of them. i want something along the lines of criminal justice and im considering community college because its cheaper and the college i want is an hour away so i can get out of my mom's house and live with a friend or something. im actually more comfortable in the town where the colleg eis than i am in my hometown.
is high priced education better?

I was really hoping to be able to help you out here but I honestly can't...I'm going to school next year in another state...primarily to escape the people I've been with for the last four years...and it's a private school that's 30 grand a year...so I don't really know what to tell you...I do know that I'm getting a lot of perks at the school though b/c with the higher cost comes well funded programs...like the amazing speech team...so I guess in some aspects it is better
