I'm just too normal

After searching and searching for scholarships that apply to me, I have reached a conclusion. I am just too normal. And I'll prove it.
I am white. About as white as you can get. I am half swedish and the other half is a mix of norwiegian, german, irish, english, french, swiss, etc. basically all of white europe. There aren't any scholarships for being white.
I am in the middle class. Which means I am neither rich enough to pay for college, nor poor enough to recieve financial aid.
I am not a feminist. Don't get me wrong, I believe that women have just as many rights as men and that there should be equality for the sexes everywhere. But. I like to wear a bra, and they're expensive, so I'm not about to burn one. Also, I shave my armpits and it's not likely that I'll stop.
Both of my parents are still alive and kicking. No pity scholarships for me.
Community service has not radically changed my life. And so no, I don't have anything to write for your freaking essay.
I am not going into health service. I do not have the patience to deal with people who always complain.
But now I am tired from both my fruitless search and writing this blog, so I think I will retire to bed and contemplate the reasons I am incapable of getting scholarships.

I'm the exact same way. Every thing you said describes me as well. It sucks so much that we want to further our education but we can't afford it. I just wrote a blog about the same thing.

My entire senior year in high school, even our college prep counselor told the majority of my class including myself, we were "stuck in the middle". Too white middle class - too rich to receive financial aid, too poor to pay for college, too white to be a minority, too average to receive academic scholarships..it never ends. Well it does end, with all of us either without an education or thousands of dollars in debt.

i feel the same way. but though you may be confined to the norms of ethnically and economically, don't let that idea confine you into your box. rise above and let your voice be heard because we all have important things to share, and you never know how you can positively affect someone just with the power of your words.

good luck on the scholarship search!

wow that is tough.... but you should ask your counsolor at your school what scholarships are available for you...like at my high school for the kids in the top 2 percent of the class get a full ride scholarship to the state we are in which is Arizona...n yes it is hard trying to get a scholarship if you are in the majority group in race...that is weird don't you think that king wanted ppl to be judged on their character and yet scholarships are mostly offered to the minority...hmm, well i do have some caucaisan in me cuz of one of my grandmothers...n my father passed away so that gives me a better chance at getting a scholarship i guess...but I think anyone who applies for scholarships that they meet the requirements can get the scholarship...hey there is some kind of rule for the aims test that if you exceed a certain amount you can get a full ride...then there was that merit scholarship for the psat....then there is a scholarship for ppl who r on the decatholon team at their high schools....then you can also try to find a sport you are really good at to try to get recognized for a scholarship...Believe me, recruitors actually go to games (no matter how bad the statistics on your team are doing).... I hope all goes well for you in your search...

I'm Asian and I can't find scholarships for myself. I'm "too rich" , and some of the requirements are plain absurd. I'm fine with Bright Futures 75% it pays most of the tuition anyway, I just have to pay for books and other things. I'm not that smart, my family's in the straight middle middle class, and I'm American born I don't have much chances for a scholarship that will go to someone else.
