When a lot of people think of step parents they think of horrible evil people that would do anything to torture their step kids.
In my case it is the complete opposite. I love my step dad with all my heart. He is an amazing guy. He treats me just like I’m his own daughter. I get along with him better than I do with my mom or my dad. He even convinced my mom to take me and my brother with them on their honeymoon.
My real dad has never really been there for me, so I’m glad that my step dad has been such an amazing guy. I hate how a few bad people can give the whole step parent title a bad reputation.
It's true that the role of step-parent has been carved as an evil mean one, but I'm sure that there are several step parents who treat their children better than some biological parents. I'm glad you have such a great father figure in your life! :D
I'm glad to finally hear a happy story about stepparents. :)
My stepfather was so great that I consider him my actual father, since I never heard from the 'sperm donor' who aided in my conception.
