There was definitely a homophobic undertone on this last episode of Parental Control. The show is based on parents who hate the people their kids are dating. Here's why MTV fails.
The parents don't know what's going on in the relationship.
The parents don't know what their kids truly want.
The parents are unaware of what they talk about...
But the chief concern of this episode was that their daughters boyfriends was "metrosexual". No, it wasn't because he was vulgar, it was becuase he was attractive. All the dates, were very well groomed too. It just really pissed me off how the father was pushing that he wanted "A real man" and continuosly compare the boyfriend to basicly the icon of a faggot.
It just really pissed me off.
That is just some peoples views.
Some parents views are more conservative then liberal. You have to look at it from their perspective and growing up in their generation to understand why they think the way they think. When you are a parent with a teenager you will be the same way with the fads of the next generation. It happened with our grandparents and our parents, its happening to our parents and us, and it will happen with us and our kids.
