What is the purpose of this seven month period? We do not get an extra hour of sunlight. The sun just rises later and sets later. We are still getting around the same amount of sun in one days time. Yes, I know it's a little different in the middle of the winter and the middle of summer. BIG WHOOPIE!
Why does the government have to go through confusing many Americans, including my family and I, about the time? Why couldn't the farmers just wake up earlier? Why did George Bush have to extend the time by two weeks in 2005? Most of the vegetables you get at the store are green house grown. Why give the farmers an extra hour of sleep? Don't they get up before dark anyways?
It makes no sense to me at all. Now people are worried that more car crashes will occur during the winter months(1). Yes that might be true, but we are in the REAL time now. This is how time should be at all times. I like the fact that the sun is up when I am going to class. I really do not like walking to class in the dark.
So whose in? Let's erase the idea of Daylight Savings Time...

You know what? I honestly did not get your blog. I didn't know Bush extended the time. Why? Isn't it about science not politics? What does this have to do with car crashes?
