Teen Pregnancy

Teen pregnancy is becoming an increasing problem in today's society. To many girls 14-17 are getting pregnant. How are they going to take care of their baby? Who is going to watch it while they are at school? Will they finish school?

In a lot of cases I think teen pregnancy is bad. The parents have their lives ahead of themselves. They miss out on being a kid because now they have one of their own. But in one of my best friends cases, I believe it helped her stay sane. Yeah she put up with a lot of crap from the kids in our school, but she has had a hard life, her parents where never really there for her. She has changed so much. I am so proud of her. She finished high school, has an appartment, an amazing boyfriend that loves her and her baby more than anything, and a great job. I hope that everyone else that is in a position like hers is able to turn it into something great.

I have a great friend who got pregnant when she was 17, and had a son last summer. She is 18 now and raising him while trying to finish her senior year. I was homeschooled this year, and finished early so I babysit her son during the day. She has made a great life for herself and for her son over the past year, and I'm proud of her for doing so. I have several other friends who got pregnant as teens and many of them are success stories as well.

I wouldn't encourage teen pregnancy, but I know that my friend doesn't regret having her son for a second, and I think they are living proof of the good that can come from bad. :D

Teen pregnancy can be bad but it can also be a beautiful thing =)

i likw how you just shed the light on such a sensitive topic. it is true teens are thinking abstinence is unnecesary, but it is great. being pure until marriage is rare, but very necessary!!

"Teen pregnancy is becoming an increasing problem in today's society."

According to the National Center for Health Statistics, rates of teen pregnancy, while still very high, are decreasing and have been for some time.

if one finishes high school, and is taking real good care of their kids, then that girl is very valuable.
because not all teen pregnancies are a success i know alot of gurls, whogot pregnant young and treat their kids like crap, the dropped out of high school, but do have time to hit the club . and who suffers an innocent child.
in my case i got pregnant at 14, i went to school pregnant, never missed a day until labor, then went straight back to school after a week. i graduated from high school with high honors now im in college, my baby like always well taken cared of and healthy. i never had support from my parents but i made it and im getting better. but some girls get me mad cuz they just treat their kids like if they are a toy or trash or something. so i believe if girls are gona do the nasty they better know how to clean them selves, because its not the babies fault for what happened its the parents for not using a condom and beeing cautious

Thank you.

This is the first Teenage Pregnancy blog that I have read and not wanted to rip right into the author for.

You don't agree with it, but you have shed a positive attitude because of seeing it.

Congratulations on that outlook as well.
Thanks again
