Kobe Bryant has been ridiculed ever since the little issue back in Colorado, and has been frowned upon by the whole NBA nation, fans included. With the problems that occurred between Kobe and Shaq while Shaq was in L.A., with Shaq calling Kobe selfish and childish, Kobe has never seemed to shake of all the controversy. But what if Kobe can return to greatness this upcoming season. With the spectacular season he just had, along with a more experienced youthful team, the Lakers could be heading back to the NBA finals. Remember that exciting series against the suns they had, which no body thought they'd even be close in, the Lakers showed heart. They Lakers have made a couple of key acquisitions this off-season that could give them that edge they lacked last year. They picked up another backup guard that can play the point and the wing in Jordan Farmar out of UCLA, and the key addition of a pure shooter in Vladimir Radmanovic from Seattle. And of course the decision to stay made by coach Phil Jackson, who is arguably one of the best coaches in NBA history, the Lakers future looks bright for this season. If Lamar Odom plays like he can, Smush Parker matures and learns his role, and if Kobe has a year even close to what he did last year, there's no doubt that the Lakers could be a top contender for the Championship. I too agree that the Lakers are destinied to make the NBA Finals, with Lamar Odom playing like a modern day Scottie Pippen, and Luke Walton contributing with his long distant shooting, the Lakers now have a group of players to take the pressure off of Kobe Bryant while he recovers from off season knee surgery. With role players to support Kobe the Lakers might once again reach the promise land and win another title.
