Dangerous Driving Restrictions:

I'm sure many have heard over the past two years about the bills in several different states that are being considered, they are proposing that the age when teens can apply for the learners' permit be raised from [16 here in PA] to 18! This is ridiculous! Because of the way the bill is set up, I won't be affected, because I already have mine, but many other students will be.

And it is not just a matter of taking away the freedom teens believe they gain when they start driving. This bill, if made law, would be dangerous, it would be responsible for taking away two years of parental supervised driving, and giving permits to teens who will be headed to college within the next few months. This means more unexperienced drivers on the roads and highways, not less!

I know at sixteen many teens are reckless, but hopefully with parental supervision driving lessons can be effective. And if not, I'm sure its much better than college students learning how to drive on their campuses, and on highways. Accident rates and teenage deaths would sky rockett!

Am I the only one who sees how ridiculous this law would be?!?! How dangerous it would be?!?!
