Okay I know we all love when our internet service works, so why does it seem that more and more frequently we lose our connection. It's like the information highway has been closed to you. Try having to write a paper for an online class and having the internet go out. You learn the hard way to write it on word first.
If you have a wireless modem, forget consistency because your internet connection will no longer have it. Having a working connection for more than a mere seconds with this modem becomes a great feat. If by chance it does work, you can be found singing and dancing around with glee. By the time you are finished with your happy dance, you are back to square one, waiting for it to work again.
It seems like today things are becoming more unreliable. It's sad and not much can be done. But speaking from experience if this happens to you, try to repair your internet connection. If that doesn' work go straight to the

I understand what you mean about wireless internet. Mine cuts out depending on how strong the signal is. However, it usually lasts for a few hours, long enough for me to do whatever I need to do at least.
yea I personally don't usually have a problem but at my boyfriend's apartment it just never works ironically. I have no idea. But everytime we call and complain it works perfectly it's weird.
