I'm So Sick Of Your Song

Although the radio is supposed to promote new artists and songs, after a certain number of times of listening to the same song over and over, it's no longer amusing.
I love when a new song comes out; I usually enjoy listening to it for a few weeks, but recently, radio stations have been over playing every new song. I now get sick of the song in about two weeks or less.
In my car, I have six different buttons set to six different stations. More often than not, I can go back and forth between two stations and the same song will be playing on both. Sometimes one is just a few seconds behind the other. The same song can be heard at least five times in one of my car drives; keep in mind I'm usually only in the car for about a half hour to forty-five minutes. For example, I love the song "With You" by Chris Brown. I hear it too often now.
I think songs are more special or enjoyed when you don't hear them often. Like when an old Backstreet Boys song comes on. You are so excited because you haven't heard it in a while and it reminds you of when you were younger. I think that the stations should play more variety. But even stations claiming to be number one for variety are playing the current new songs over and over.
With my constant bordem with the radio, I now have to bring CDs to listen to in the car. The problem: most of my CDs have current number one hits on the radio. So, it's either the radio stations stop killing good songs by constant replay or I need to buy more CDs...

I completely agree with you. It's hard. Especially when the overplayed songs are crappy anyway.

I don't listen to the radio anymore. I haven't in years because I can't stand to listen to the same song over and over. Even the oldies stations play the same oldies songs consistently. Thank goodness for iPod!!!
