Is it me or does blogging for competition sound like an awful idea?
Sure, scholarships are great, everyone loves to get their hands on some, and sure, blogging is a great way to express yourself, but, in this case, are 2 rights making a wrong?
To me, the flaw is there's no way to get ahead. You can sit there, refreshing your own blog page, building up your reads, building up your points. You could sit there, all day, posting blog after blog, after blog. But, what about the quality? What about people that need opinions, or input on their stories? It seems to me people are now forced to produce random comments and post the most irrelevant blogs that nobody really cares about.
However, only being a member for 10 hours, I could very well be wrong. Just ranting though. What do you think?

I've been called, among other things, a flame bater, so I guess I'm of those who write items rather contrary to the rest of the sentiments held here on progressiveu.org. go figure.
There's always crap on the internet, but this competition could bring out some good stuff, even amidst all the drivel :-).
At least I hope to post some worthwhile things...
Nancy
I guess it is sort of an honor system. You know, there are bad people who kill others with knives but does that mean we have to ban knives? For the sake of the good people we don't ban knives.
Or since there are car accidents does that mean...
Same with this blogging for scholarships. There may be people aimlessly blogging and posting, but this competition/contest is there for the better good.
