My Very First Blog (Again (Again))

Tagged:  •    •    •

I have somewhere in the area of seven blogs-- four of which where I have been myself.  I have given up the internet twice, television once, and blogging three times.  I have had blogs which no one read-- and blogs which eveyone I knew read regularly.
I've been purely and unabashedly myself and I have been my polar opposite.
At some point we must ask ourselves: "Why blog?"
Then we must realistically answer.  Do you like to write?  Do you think you have something amazing to say?  Do you hunger for intimacy?
Honestly, I think on some level, regardless of any other motivation, that we hunger for intimacy.
That every single one of us has something that we need out to the world that we are not content to keep in our minds or put in journals.
Then comes the real question, it is 2:00am, you have been IMing friends for the past couple hours and you blog, you put out your ideas, hopes, aspirations, feelings, so on...
When everyone is connected by wires at the fingertips, are we closer then ever, or much further apart?

I disagree that you've ever given up the internet or blogging. When you truly give something up, you're done with it. You don't do it again.
