regardless of what anyone thinks abortion is MURDER... that baby is a baby when it was concieved. No one has the right to take a life not the mother not the father no one. people want to make excuses for their actions. If u couldnt take care of a baby u shouldnt have opened ur legs. I know that in some cases people do get rapped...but being able to give life to something is a gift regardless of the package it came in. If its a womans choice to abort her baby than would it be okay if my mother killed me tomorrow. If its a womans choice to abort her baby than why do women go to jail for killing their 3 year old..? Women need to learn not to be so selfish that childs life is not urs to take...there are so many women that would die to be able to give birth but u through it away because u arent ready yet. i feel that if u arent ready then dont have sex. there are so many ways to protect urself.....and if u dont want to keep ur baby give it up for adoption. We let 13 year old girls think its okay to sleep around and get pregnant than get rid of it without their parents evr knowing. somethings wrong with the world when we think its okay for a child to get pregnant and not have to tell her parents. Maybe would should ask ourselves some questions maybe we should ask what would have happened if mother teressa's mother aborted her. what if george washington's mother aborted him? what is our mother aborted us. Nobody thinks about what that baby's may turn out to be all we think about is how fast we want to get rid of it. its so sad that we give animals more rights then humans. those children that are being murded everyday for selfish reasons are humans just like us...we need to wake up and realize what message we're sending to these young girls.

Please read these two posts. Kiota is very informed about abortion.
The reason abortion is not the same thing as murder is because a person who has spent time outside womb has developed a personality through interaction with their environment. A fetus has not.
Personally, I would not resent my mother if she had aborted me. It would be better to not live then to live in a home unwanted.
Please realize that many teens do not view children as you do. A planned child is an unparalleled blessing. Otherwise, the circumstances surrounding the birth will permanently tarnish the baby's life and upbringing.
I completely agree when you said that about living unwanted...I know how it is...as heartless as it sounds...if you don't want the baby you are doing it a favor by aborting it...I grew up not wanted by my mom...she told me how much she hated us kids and wanted to hang us and how we ruined her life and how she should have hurt herself to miscarry...unless you've been through it you have no idea how it feels to hear and feel that...I'd never wish that upon anyone...so aborting it before it knows the concept of being wanted is smarter

I don't think it's sad...just real...your concepts would be great in some alternate universe...but we can't be idealists here...we have to be realists...which is what the two of us were doing...we've been through it and know how bad it would be to imagine putting someone...anyone else through it

Next, understand that having sex is not just about procreating. Unplanned pregnancies happen, and aborting a fetus that has no feeling or heartbeat or brain at all is much more humane, frankly, than bringing it into a world where it isn't wanted. If George Washington's mother aborted him, then probably we would be in a different place than we are now, but let's not "What If?" the entire history of the world - that is futile and unrealistic.

Do you know what a gift is? It is something that is willingly given and happily received. Pro-choice people believe that life should be a gift that women willingly give. Forcing women to carry pregnancies they do not want is not a gift; it's slavery.

"What if"s are not very good arguments. As trailerpark said, there are many more "what if"s that could have voided the existance of these people.
You are entitiled to your opinions, just as everyone else is. However, opinions, alone, aren't very convincing. As Zelkwin mentioned, Kiota's blogs on abortion are incredibly good. Why? Because she put research into them. She listed facts and unbiased sources, and not just statements of opinion.
If you are trying to get people to agree with your own opinions regarding abortion, then you need to do more than state those opinions. You need to back them up with sound reasoning (just a warning, the Bible and abortionno.com probably aren't going to convince people). Correct grammar and spelling also help. ;-)
