Ready to start school!

I am very excited to be enrolled in school.  I take my ACT Compass Placement exam on the 24th.  I bought an ACT study book at Barnes and Noble bookstore on Sunday.  I have done a few of the practices tests.  I do pretty good at the english portion, done a few of these tests on Sunday.  I did 45 questions, and got 43 of them correct.  So I'm not too worried about that.  But tonight I did a few of the math questions.  Wow, I didn't realize how hard math was if you haven't done it in five years.  It almost makes me feel stupid doing these questions in the practice book.  It's a good book though, it has the answers and it explains the answers.  It walks you through the process of doing the formulas and what not.  First looking at the questions, I was pretty clueless of how to solve the problem, but after the book walked me through it, it refreshed me, and it's starting to come back to me.  I'm not too nervous about the test, since it's just a placement test.  It will determine what level math and english courses I need to be in, so I don't wanna do too good, so I'm in a class that I can't achieve in.  Either way, I'm going to devote a lot of my time to studying whether I understand it or not.  And I will search for help through other people, because I will do whatever I need to do to succeed at this!

Good luck, and remember not to stress out to much about the placement test. It'll be best in the long run if you test into a class that is appropriate for your level, not one where you're way ahead or way behind.

Be proud of whatever score you get; welcome, and congrats on your achievement of going back to school!

Keep us all up to date on how the test and your first classes go. :)
