America is the wealthiest nation in the world but is the only wealthy nation without universal health care is another story all together. But America has two other alarming statistics that our candidates won't talk about. We arrest 1 out of 100 citizens the most in the world! Also inner city violence counts for 75 deaths a day. Some war zones don't have that much death. This is happening in the United States of America the Greatest country in the world. People then wonder why they believe there is two Americas. There is the rich middle class world which is blinded to the facts of this not so distant world. We have some people in as much poverty of people in third world countries. Crime rates of waring nation. Locks up more of their citizens.
My reasons for jail rate.
-Silly laws marijuana, statutory rape, etc
-High retention rate
-Hard for ex-cons to find jobs
-Ridiculously high crime rate
Reasons crime rate
-High poverty
-High unemployment and outsourcing of jobs (ex Flint and Detroit Michigan GM took jobs out of country caused high employment and helped turn Flint and Detroit to # 1 and #3 crime rate.
If we continually call ourselves the best country in the world we need to start fixing these problems.
