Lucid dreaming

Lucid dreaming is one of my favorite topics to discuse.  For those that do not what lucid dreaming is, it's an extremely realistic dream.  Sometimes it's very difficult to tell if you are awake or in the dream world.  All senses are retained in a lucid dream.  You can see, touch, hear, smell and taste, then maybe some more ;).

Lucid dreaming is a very pleasent experience.  Having the ability to fly and jump huge distance is amazing.  You are able to feel the adrenal rush as you sleep.  It's amazing.  It's like being on a roller coaster.  You can do anything you want to when your in lucid dream, since your in complete control, rather than seeing your dream play out like a movie.  There are techniques on the internet that will help you learn and teach your self to lucid dream more often.  Just search the internet and you'll find a lot of websites that discuss the topic.

Aaaactually, while lucid dreaming one is completely aware one is dreaming, which is how one is able to control the dream.

Unfortunately I am unable to control my dreams. Yes, they do seem very real, but it's not like I know I am dreaming until I awaken. But I do know people who have tried to control it. My boyfriend told me he would have a dream where he got hurt and so the next night he would not do what he had done in the dream the night before, but then would get hurt. and then the next night he would once again change what he had done. I also have friends that have tried to train themselves by writing on their hands so when they look at it in the dream, if it's not there, they know they are in a dream. Same with songs or reading things. Very interesting though!

I've had a lucid dream. I dreamt I was shot actually but I was awake and my eyes were open. I couldn't move but I was sort of having seizure. Or maybe it just felt that way because I couldn't move. That freaked me out.
I've also had dreams in which I was not in a waking state, knew I was dreaming, and yet could still respond to my surroundings. That's a more difficult dream to explain. I was not, however, control all of my actions in that dream so I don't know if that counts.

I've had dreams where I am aware of my surrondings but am still dreaming. Like I thought I had open my eyes and were awake but then I couldnt move and thought my mom was tryin gto kill me. I kept trying to scream and move until I actually woke up and realised I was still wiggiling like in my dream and kind of screaimg under my breathe plus I was in the exact same position as I was when I was dreaming plus everything was where it was in the dream. It was so scary.
