I want to break every clock; the hands of time can never move again.

I just recently read a blog explaining how time can go by so fast without one even noticing the fact that it is constantly moving and there is nothing that we can do about it.  I recently graduated high school, in May of 2007, and I realized that those were the days of my life; high school was one of the biggest parts of my life thus far.  Sometimes I wonder, what if I did things differently?  What if I had got to know other people, people that I never thought of getting to know on a personal level?  What if I had worked harder, and became an even stronger person by doing so?  What if I could just stop time and do everything that I could ever want?

I can not do any of those things.  And you know why?  Because time goes by too quickly, and before you know it, it's gone.  Many of my friends will be leaving for college in a few days, parting ways from me and from everyone that they befriended in high school.  Now don't get me wrong, we'll all stay in touch through myspace or facebook, but is that something that one wants to do?  Of course not.  It is a lot better to have face to face interactions with the people that you love and care about.  But the factor preventing us from not parting away is time.  Time flies by, whether we like it or not, and before you know it, it's just too late.  Or is it?

Someone may have not been able to do certain things in the time that they allotted for themselves, but we can still use the current time, whether it be today, tomorrow, a month from now, a year from now.  We can all somehow regain the time that we lost, but not technically.  It just depends on how you may look at time itself.  Yes, I have been living for 18 years, a pretty fast 18 years, but I still have the rest of my life ahead of me.  It's not over yet.  Before you know it, I will be graduating college, with a degree and a career, and with many new friends that I met a long the way.  All one has to do is make up for the time lost by doing the things they wish they had in the past.  That is all there is too it.

i totally agree with you too! You brought up some great points too, that I didn't even think about in my blog. It's crazy to think about how even though we may make up the time we wasted, it technically will never be made up. I am glad that you have realized how fast time flies, and I wish you the best of luck in college and your future.

and I agree too, I wish i could break every clock so the hands could not move agian...clever title!
