Respecting Animals

The youth have to strive in a cause that is so clearly present in our own backyards: animal care. Ever since the dawn of time, man has relied upon a various species of animals as a means of succeeding. This success is either marked by agriculture or the fact that the animal was used to further their own lives by providing food, shelter, and clothing. But, unfortunately, today has been rather ungrateful and horrid to what yesterday considered a rare and magnificent gift. People in our time are raping animals of their rights and killing and leaving them in such a state which far supersedes the horrors of death. Animals are being tortured and punished for the most outrageous things! People keep animals as pets and as a result, children poke their fingers in the cages and tanks of those poor animals thereby causing them much discomfort. People promise to take care of animals, take for example a cat, and mistreat it to such an extent that it runs away and is left alone to the world outside, a world that it has never seen before and very dangerous indeed. Not only pets. We see that today because of cars and their misusage, deer and squirrel lay mutilated on the roads. Those deer are mothers to some babies. And the worst part is that those babies who are waiting for nourishment from their mothers will never get it! So horrid indeed that today the idea of animal care is so distorted and chopped up. Not only are the laymen performing horrid acts but also the celebrities, not to mention any names but the idea is clear. Dog fights, supplying chicken with steroids and not giving them enough space to walk around, using animals as entertainment in many rodeos, hunting in the name of sport, and barbaric means of pleasure by watching a snake eat a helpless rabbit in the confines of a cage. I am against the keeping of pets unless it’s intention is pure such as keeping them of the streets. I think that the world should recognize it’s place and the place of animals. Roads should be made even more careful to avoid hitting animals. Many would argue against this but a point should be kept in mind that humans are more intelligent than animals and so they should take the precaution. An honest effort should be made to ban the use of animals for sport and higher regulations should be placed upon animal torture. Pet owners should be required to bring in their animal and show it’s health. In order to avoid cheating, tags or some identifying device should be placed with the pet when being bought. Chicken and the sort should be kept healthy and pure from any drugs. There should be no animal testing whatsoever! Man is so lost within himself that he desires that his beauty products be tested on poor animals before he can wear them! In other words, if the product is bad, the animals should suffer. This is absolutely preposterous! Something so sick should be banned.I really hope that this actually opens peoples eyes and makes at least one person desirous to fight the injustices upon animals. Many words aren’t needed in the effort to express a concern or an idea; the only thing required is a heart and a paper.
