What America needs? Confusing question to be considered. Probably not one that a sixteen year old ever feels like answering. However, I think a lot, perhaps too much, but in my thoughts i have come to some conclusions. American needs to lose it's selfish pride as a whole. Time and time again nations fall because they think they are invincible. Pride goes before the fall. I would like to point out that in the end times America will not be there. Consider that next time you think we are the world power.
In my English class we have been discussing poverty recently. An interesting point has come up about poverty. While poverty is a big issue in American society today, it is not addressed as much as it should be. Things like same sex marriage and abortion get time on international t.v. but poverty in America is not addressed. In my opinion, while those things get viewers, the more important issue is poverty. Issues such as abortion and same sex marriage are tough issues to address, change, and to agree. These things always have the people who don't agree one way or the other, however, poverty is not a topic to be debated. Find me one person who would not agree that hungry people need to be fed. If you do find this person, they had better be starving otherwise I will mark them a hypocrite.
America needs to get past money and selfishness. There is more to life then American society. Accept people for who they are, and while you don't have to like them you do have to love them. By this I mean treat them like you would want to be treated, in your mind you can say I don't want to do this, but doing it anyway is what counts.

I really like your blog...and you are right it's one that most young people don't want to answer..in fact it's one that most adults can't even answer...and I think we do need a complete overhaul with American society...keep up the good blogging
