I personally think that the diversity of the participants should be based on their personalities. Last season on the show, even though there were more minorities than ever, approximately 10 to 12 of the contestants were from the Southern California area and most of them were pursuing careers in show business. I think the the racial division is refreshing, yet at the same time, I am saddened by the fact that the show has resorted to this. I say that everyone should just forget about racial differences all together and focus on the person's personalities. Dont judge a book by its cover.
Your thoughts on the TV show Survivor dividing tribes by ethnicity. How does this affect society?

Recently, the tv show Survivor has tried to make the show more racially diverse by recruiting more minorities to participate. Then the contestants were divided based on their racial identities. Considering the popularity of television, especially reality tv shows, does this have a positive effect, negative effect, or no effect on the issue of racism?

The whole racial thing is getting old. I thought we were trying to work on having a more unity not dividing people up by their race. This just brings back stereotypes that we were all trying to get rid of in the first place. Honestly, they exercised every idea they had for the season and came up with this controversial idea. It's silly if you ask me.
