For the Girls Who Feel Unbeautiful

Alright

I'll never look like the models in those magazines

I don't have the big eyes, full lips, perfect nose

But that's alright

Sometimes it gets a little lonely out here on my own

Sometimes I wonder what I'm doing wrong

But it's alright

Said it's alright

Cuz I'm beautiful

And I'm not alone

Beautiful to my God

Who will never leave me

He wraps his arms tight round me when I'm down

He listens to my pain and cries as well

And at the end of the day he sings the music of my soul

Sings me to sleep

Cuz I'm beautiful

And I'm not alone

Beautiful to my God

Who will always love me

He tells me, "Child I made you perfect

Beautiful in every way

So don't fret, don't fear...

Tonight"

Cuz I'm beautiful

And I'm not alone

Beautiful to my God

Who made me perfectly

I don't need to look like those models in the magazines

I don't need to have the big eyes, full lips, perfect nose

He says I'm alright...

More than alright

awwwww...that's so sweet! B-)

Please keep writing more poems! Just not too much, because we have more poems than blogs on here, lol.

I am always amazed at how we are "created in His Own Image", making us beautiful. This is very encouraging!

Well, we should have a high self esteem because we were made in god's image and we are his sons and daughters.

This is really good!

this poemis so lovely and powerful. thank you for writing it.

Yes, again thank you for writing it. However, I was wondering if you could write more progressive blogs since that IS the point of this site?

is this supposed to be really religious ???
i mean i know the He is god but the only reason i liked it is because of the message of looking at yourself and believing you are beautiful
ah i knew there was a reason i don't like poetry too much

"Pride is concerned with who is right. Humility is concerned with what is right."

Yes, it is supposed to be religious. I am sorry that you don't like God and there is no reason for you not to like poems-not all of them cite God.

You see, people think God is this evil person who is cruel and likes to punish but he is not. He is just as loving as many other parents except a thousand times better.

You got the right attitude. It doesn't matter matter what others think of you. It matters what you think. God made you the way he did for a reason and we are all beautiful in his eyes. His opinion is the only on that matters.

I totally agree with every thing you just said. HIS is the only opinon that matters anyway

HE is the way, the truth, and the life.

I was always one of the people who did not feel good about my looks and personality until I took a Mission Trip to mexico and got to see myself through the kids eyes there. I don't know if I ever will get to see them again but when we are in heaven i know that I wil get to see them and thank them for healing a part of me that I didn't even know was broken.
HE is the way, the truth, and the life.

wow you have a great attiude. That is hard to get now days with the "look of the perfect girl or guy" because of what the news and tv that makes us think we have to look like that. Is this a poem or a song. Or just thoughts it is good no matter what it is thou.

Was this a poem? Well whether it is or not, I liked it because it teaches females that there's nothing bad about ourselves and that's okay to accept the way we look.

Read my blog!

Haven't you ever read or seen poems before? That is typically what they look like.

Lol. I haven't visited this blog in QUITE some time, and it's interesting to see these conversations that sprung up off of this post. No, it's not meant to be religious, just real. I wrote it as a song, which is really only a poem put to music. :)

Beautiful Song. I did catch that is was a song right after the "It's Alright" line. It really does sound like it should be put to music;)
