A little bit about me.

This is just a little bit about me that not many, next to none, people know. I am a huge Harry Potter fan and for the fact that I am in high school makes me ashamed to be. I really love the books because they let me escape and experience a good piece of literature. I mean if some of those kids who pick on those who like the Harry Potter series just read the books they would see whay so many peoples of all ages were turned onto these books. I used to be one of those high schools kids who thought the Harry Potter series was for geeks and that they were stupid. i even made fun of them, until I gave in and started to read the series. I actually found that they were good books. Some of the best books that I have read in a long time. Now I am hooked on it and I am a fanatic of the series. I love Halloween for all of its mystery and excitment and thats what the Harry Potter series gives me all year around. I guess what I am trying to say is that a person should never put someone down because of their views and that they should walk a mile in a persons shoes before they think they know everything.

Welcome to ProgressiveU, Corlea! I know quite a few adults that are crazy for Harry Potter and will undoubtedly be some of the first in line to get the new book when it comes out. There's nothing wrong with that! I've not read the series yet, but adore the movies:) I felt a tad silly for going to see OotP when it first came out, but as soon as I walked into the theater I felt better. The audience was comprised of an overwhelming majority of high school students and adults. I think there were 3 children in the theater; one of whom was a toddler that slept through the entire movie. Made me feel better to know that hubby and I weren't the only one's!

Again, welcome to ProgressiveU! If you have any questions or need any help, feel free to browse the FAQs or post a question in the forums for one of us moderators. Someone will answer as soon as possible.

i had gotten into Harry Potter books and movies. Im one of the "popular" (or so people tell me) people in my high school and all my friends read Harry Potter. Harry Potter is definately not for geeks because I feel like a total geek for not reading them. And now, because all the hype, I don't want to start reading/watching them now because I'd seem like a poser. So basically what I'm saying is that I wish someone would have told me how good those books are earlier!!!

Don't be ashamed cause I love Harry Potter. I am now in College but back in highschool I used to keep it to myself but when i told my friends, it turned out that they loved it too. Harry Potter takes you into the books and the films and u feel as if u were there.
