I've never had a problem or seen a problem with saying the word 'vagina'.
My mother, being an OB/GYN nurse has always advocated the use of proper medical terminology.
"They're just words," she'd say, "there is nothing wrong with saying penis, or vagina."
They're just words.
I guess some people are embarrassed to use them.
I mean, they aren't exactly the prettiest of words.
And they're describing a fairly private place.
However, I think it's far more embarrassing to be using the substitutes of 'va-jay-jay', or 'lady parts', after you've reached...adulthood.
Somehow though. most people don't have a really big problem saying the word 'penis'.
I hear it a lot at school.
Mostly during lunchtime.
There's the Penis game, in which competitors increase the loudness of the word PENIS until one gives up.
But if you were to say, "Hey, guys, let's play the Vagina Game, see who can say THAT louder.", people would probably just look at you and walk away.
Let me just state that this is in no way a feminist issue to me.
I was merely suggesting that 'penis' seems to be a word more socially acceptable.
But still.
In 5th grade, when my class received the 'Your body is changing..." talk, the SCHOOL NURSE called a vagina, 'down there'.
An educated nurse!
Basically, don't be afraid to use proper, medical terms.
It just wordssss.
They just come out of your mouth.
No big.
Plus, you just sound silly referring to your va-jay-jay.
Really.

do you mean i can't say pe pe when im talking about his we we? what ever will i do lol
: P
Its akward when girls are like do u want to see my um.............. down there? God just call it what it is a vagina. All girls have them and guys have penises. Its just a body part. If you cant call a spade a spade then dont talk about it. They are only words after all. Va jay jay how about the private areas as my teacher called them LMAO.
I dunno. It must have something do with all the weird-sounding vowels, like in "diarrhea"...
Interesting. I don't think I really have a problem when talking about it. Thing is, I don't talk about it very often.

I agree with you. It really irritates me when schools sensor the use of "vagina" and "penis" in all contexts. It's an anatomical term, and to use something else is like calling your crainium your noggin or something.
