The other day I was talking to one of my friends at school who I advised to hurry up with his applications for college. He informed me that he was looking at his College Board account to report his SAT scores in his application and to his shock they were not there. The College Board had cancelled his scores and he was horrified the deadline was the next day. He called the College Board and asked why his scores were deleted. Apparently the College Board had received 10 complaints and deleted all the test scores for that day. When he asked what he could do about this they said to retake the test. He asked what he would put down in his application for that test score and they essentially blew him off. The person on the phone said "can’t help you" and "it's not my problem". For weeks before this I had constantly reminded my friend about applications and the deadlines and he did not worry. It's understandable because he had grunted admissions to SDSU because he was in the Compact for Success. All he had to do was apply and he did not foresee an obstacle of this magnitude. Two things angered me in this event, my friend’s procrastination and the weak responses given to him on the phone that day. Yes it was that persons problem, my friend was a customer, he gave the College Board money and expected not to have problems with his test. If problems should occur he expected to have someone help him through the process and not blow him off. He paid to take the test to get his score and to be treated with a certain level of respect and competence for his money. What will he and the many other people who took the test that day do? The deadline has passed and he is looking into other colleges, all because of his procrastination and someone on a telephone who needs an attitude adjustment.

wow... wtf are you serious. i never knew they could cancel your score without your permissions
