If one person were to give another an std it's not all their fault. There is an std called HPV which can cause genital warts. It can be in the body and spread from one person to the next without any signs or symptoms. If a person were to get this disease, infect someone else, fall in love with them, and then find out you both had it then it is both person's fault. Neiter person knew that they had the disease. No one should be blamed. No one should be hated or blamed and the love should continue. We've been together for almost a year with this and still going strong. With perserverance and love and strength to help one another, we've pulled through and one day at a time make it better.

yes, i agree, but you stand less of a chance of contracting HPV if you use protection.
In your case, you are in a serious relationship and if you choose to not protect yourself with condoms, it is your decision and you have made it maturely.
However, I would like to argue that it is a person's fault, whether they know they have it or not, if they are sleeping with multiple partners in close succession and not using condoms. (This applies to males andfemales.)
