would you jump in front of a bullet in order to save someone you love?
7 year old Alexis Goggins did.
she jumped in front of her mother, Seliethia Parker, as a gunman tried to shoot. unfortunately, he shot twice and alexis was severely injured. she is now disabled after siz surgeries and more than 2 long months in the hospital. she lags behind the other kids her age but still manages to try and keep up. the shooter was charged on two counts of assault with intent of murder. this shooting happened december 2 of 2007. Alexis is left to bear with several scars including a long, thin surgical line stretching from one side of her hairline to the other. Her right eye, which was blinded in the attack, has also been removed. her mother continues to pray and thank god for this "miracle".
--when it comes down to it, the choice between life and death is of a mere fraction.. you dont really get to choose whether you'll live or die. i think thats in the hands of god. it is a matter of apreciating the smaller things in life, and learning to grow in faith with god and love every second of your life. live life to the fullest, live life like there's no tomorrow. LIVE. LAUGH. LOVE. life goes on, even past death.

That's a sad story. I can't bear to even think of a loved one dying, though thinking about what could happen to me is horrible, since my loved one will probably have to live the rest of his/her life regretting what has happened.
Good/Bad, Black/White, Ying/Yang, the world is split.
Wow. Eye Opening
It's amazing, isn't it? Just when you start to loose faith in people, they surprise you. In truth, humans do a lot of amazing things for one another when the cameras are off. It's just not as exciting as a war or a car-bombing on the evening news. Maybe we're not so screwed up after all... And there's nothing like the innocence of a child to put things in perspective.
