As the holidays approach, it is becoming a much more central issue to say, "Merry Christmas", or "Happy Thanksgiving". I think this is such a twisted mindset in our society. Not only is that the name of the holiday, but we are begininng to take all the meaning out of every holiday. I think about it with this paralell. Today is Vetrans Day, a day to celebrate those who fought in the war for us. If on this day we were not allowed to talk to any of those vetrens, it would destroy the entire purpose of the holiday. Thus my point exactly. Or take the Fourth of July, Independence Day, a day on which our country founded it's freedom. If on this day we could not look at a single American Flag, what would this holiday become about. Thus I believe is an equal paralell to our coutry's decissions upon all the Holidays. If we don't say "Merry Christmas," we might as well say Happy Jesus's Birth, because realisticaly we are denying the very essence of that day, in an attempt to not offend people. And to that end, today I heard a man speaking about this very issue. He was a muslim for 18 years, and he said never once in his life has this offended him. Thus what are we doing. We are destroying everything that we have worked to achieve, slowly but surely. What will come next? Happy Life, because we can't talk specifically about the New Year. That's how rediculous this is becoming.......where will it go? Not only is this a petty argument, it is down right ridiculous! I mean what is it all about anyway?

christmas was a pagan holiday that was adopted by christian, so, if a greeter don't said marry christmas to you than you will go kill yourself because their word offened you so much, saying marry christmas to everyone because they don't want to offend christianist is like saying happy holiday becaues they don't want to offend anyone who isn't a christianist. i think that these christianist should spend more time boycotting the store not beacuse they aren't saying marry christmas but because they enage in child slavery.

First of all, both of you should go back and review English spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Secondly, there are a lot of people like myself that celebrate Christmas without doing the whole Jesus's birthday thing. Christmas to me is about giving and recieving gifts while having fun with others, not any religious icon.
