It's sad that our kids are viewing cartoons that encourage violence. They are all sed on the value of survival. Honestly mostly all of the charecters, good and bad, are ugly on Cartoon Netwrok. Just look at the cartoons kids of this century are watching and comapre to what we saw. Whatver happened to kindness or fairytales. There should be more cartoons like Cheburashka and Nu Pogodi. those are both Russian, but the kidness cartoons.
Kids have enough bad things to deal with at school. They shoudl watch cartoons that would make them better people. Disney channel shoudl make more cartoons transforming all the fairy tales that Disney ever wrote. Also if anyone ever saw the original little mermaid,. maid in Jaan, they know how much cartoons can appeal to children of any age.
Watching only things with happy endings isn't very realistic.

I don't think cartoons and kids' shows alone can turn someone violent. There are always other factors. These cartoons are purely entertainment and teach us to look at life from another angle. It's a nice change for once since we always see live actors and actresses on tv promoting sex.

Instead of changing cartoon subject matter/fairy tales why not support reading books? I don't think there is anything wrong with cartoons today, they are just a form of entertainment. However, if we are to make improvements we should promote turning TV's off instead of merely changing the programs.
