We hope that you have come to ProU because you want your ideas to be heard. After all, we are a social welfare organization that encourages all youth to let their opinions be heard. Do any of those ideas involve directly changing your community, though? Want to get the funding you need to make that change now?
Well, here's your chance. The Echoing Green Fellowship provides funding to start-up organizations intending on making some sort of social change in their communities. They will give you up to $90,000 of funding, plus training necessary to get your organization off the ground.
Some necessities for the grant:
* You must be 18 years or older, working in the US
* You must be in the start-up phase of your organization (running less than 2 years)
* Your organization must be independent
* You must devote 35 or more hours per week on your project
* You must commit to two full years of work on your organization.
Some exclusions for the grant:
* Plans for the expansion of an existing organization that is past its start-up phase
* Plans for research projects
* Plans for lobbying activities
* Plans for faith-based initiatives (in this context, faith-based implies that you are associated with a religious institution or are promoting a specific faith; if your work has a spiritual basis but is not tied to any specific religion or faith, you may be eligible for consideration)
* Recipients of prior Echoing Green funding
If you are at all interested in applying, check out more of their selection criteria. However, keep in mind that the deadline for this year's application is December 3, so if you don't have a plan already, maybe consider it for next year.

I am interested.
