God doesnt need a temple anyways. so why build churches. you may not realize it but where there is a lack of a church building in say Africa, they dont care. thell have "church" under a tree, or out in the dessert.. with no chairs! oh boy.
u kno what i dont even want to call it church any more. like whats the point. i jus go to a place to get closer to God... and dont even get me started on goin on a certain day , oh say maybe a sunday. i mean sure God said make the sabbath holy.. but everyday should be holy not just sunday and then maybe a wednesday nite service for a "refill"...

((yah that thing where you have to believe in somthing you cant see.. i kno its hard to do but im positive about this ^-^ ))and allow Him to dwell in your heart , and you will be set free

...if your goal isn't to convince people what you say is true? The "its just my opinion" defense is a totally disningenuous cop-out. I mean, you very specifically ask your readers to "ask Christ's forgiveness for your sins" and then tell re-affirm that we should take your word for it because you're "positive about this." So, lets not play the game where you pretend like you were just throwing this out there just to express your personal feelings.
As for what "evidence" I would need to be convinced, any at all would be a nice place to start. I need something more than just your word that these things are true. (I'm sorry, but people do on occasion believe in the most rediculous things.) I need something objective that can be used to evaluate the truth of what you say.
Appeals to "faith" are just an excuse to cover up for a lack of evidenciary proof, in my opinion, and its a pretty poor justification for belief. After all, there are people out there who "believe" in bigfoot. There are people who "believe" in the loch ness monster. Why should I give their stories less credit than I give yours, when the amount of proof behind their claims is just as convincing as yours?

Exactly. Try to make arguments that could apply to everyone, even if they don't believe your religion, or any aspect of religion at all. As an "atheist", a lot of these ideas seem silly.

So people can try to convince others that they are right. Believe it or not (and I know it may be rather hard for you to believe), but not everyone follows a religion that focuses on a single god. Yes, a great portion of the world does (seeing as how Christianity and Islam are among the most popular religions today), but there are Buddhists that don't, Hindis that celebrate more than one god, and atheists who don't believe in god at all.

I'm not sure where you get this idea from. There is no proof, whether you doubt the religion or not. That's what the whole point of the religion is, faith that your thoughts are the correct ones. You may be absolutely positive that your religion is 'truth', but I'm sure I can find a number of other people that see things a little different.
It's not religion that you have a problem with, it's organized religion. That's perfectly fine, as there are a number of people that do have problems with organized religion. Just worship your god on your own time, and accept that others will worship how they want.

There is no real argument here. There are different religions because they believe in different gods. That's the point of having a religion. Faith is different for different people. You can't just group them into one category.
