In response to one of the editor's news pick, I think it focuses on too much of another bad part of polygamy. I'm not saying polygamy is the best way to lead life. But there are just so many bad news regarding polygamy society. I don't see any good articles that write about polygamy positively. It's really that bad huh?
Yes, polygamy is harsh and very strict that the people who believe in it get so worried that their children might question their beliefs. I do agree that polygamy benefits men the most. But why don't women in the relationship speak anything about it? Are they ashamed?
I feel bad and happy for Woodrow Johnson who was able to break free from it. I'm also very glad that many teenage boys were able to escape the polygamous way of life. What about the women and the girls? I don't hear much from their side of the story.
Right now, I'm viewing polygamy as a form of another religion. I may not agree with it, but I guess I feel the need to respect it the way I respect other religions.
