Why does college cost so much? I mean really, what is the benefit of making us future college students pay so much? With all of the money that we pay for colleges, we should get something back. Of course we get our higher education, but if they are going to make us go into debt before we even start a career, or have a family, at least give us a guarenteed job or something. Or you know, what I could really use is a laptop for school. Give us a free laptop to use throughout our college career.
I understand though that it is neccesary for colleges to charge so much. And I appreciate the scholarships, but if they are going to give us scholarships directly from the school, then why is tuition so high. Because by them giving the student a scholarship, they are basically paying themselves for getting that student to go to their college. So by doing so, the students tuition is much lower, and most students recieve scholarships, so why do the colleges charge so much for tuition? If they give us money to go to their school, why is tuition so high? I would like to know.

It shouldn't be so difficult for people who want to learn and better themselves to do so. And it also shouldn't be so easy for people who want to mess around for four years to do so, either.

It is crazy how much college costs.I agree with you completely. Why do they make it so hard. I thought going to college and furthering your education was a good thing but that make it so difficult.
