Well, it's about here 11:30 in Tennessee and I was on the net pondering the neverending question... how am I going to get money for college? I got onto www.fastweb.com and made an account which links you to scholarship programs that fit your profile (Pretty sweet huh?) I came across one that said blog for scholarship money, and waalaa I'm here blogging for money! But what exactly do you say in these blogs? Well, I'm not really sure, so this first one is just going to be expeirmental....
I guess I'll just tell you about myself. I'm Tiffany, I'm 17 and I'm a senior at Seymour High School. I was born in Virginia to Anna Karenina and Emzy Walls. I've led a pretty crazy life... My mom took me from my dad when I was a few months old and I didn't see him again until I was 5, and after that I never saw my mom much. Before my dad found us, my mom and I were gypsies. We lived all over the U.S. from what I can remember. After my dad found us, I stayed in Delaware for a few years, moved to West Virginia, Virginia, and the Maryland. My dad died in 2005, so I just stayed with my stepmom, who really needed a shoulder to cry on at the time. Since then we've moved back to Virginia, to Arizona, Tennessee and we are moving to Virginia yet again in June. Throughout all these moves, I've had some pretty amazing relationships. I learned about love at a very young age, how wonderful it can be, how hard it is to give someone your whole heart, and how easy it can be for them to break it. I've also learned about friendship, there are some incredible people out there, and even if the friendships do fade, you should never let go of the memories. I've had some wild experiences, harley riding at the Grand Canyon, all kinds of heavy metal concerts, I feel like I've lived a fortunate life so far.
As for the future, I want to go to school to become an art professor. I want to better the world in more ways than one.. I want to turn the people of America on to solar energy, banning dryers, bio-diesel, and anything else that can ease the inevitable damage of our precious environment. It may not seem important now, but trust me, you will see in 10 or 15 years. I want to help out the less fortunate. I want to educate those who can't afford it themselves. And if I had one wish, it would be to somehow better the humanity of places where the government controls everyday thinking such as Cuba. China, Kurtistan, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, and Africa. I just wish the world could be a sunny day for everyone.
That's really all I can think of to say about me right now....
Hope you liked it :D

Like you, I'm a senior in high school as well and blogging for money. I love this site though for more than just that, you really learn so many things that you've never thought of and they don't necessarily have to be political, economical, or social. I suggest you read as much as you can because there are many peopele in this site that have a broad sense of opnions. You may not agree with all of them, but I think that it's worthwhile-plus you earn points towards money at the same time. Well, good luck with the rest of your senior year. I hope that we all find the things that we need to accomplish our dreams and in the end reach them. Someday, you'll make a difference in our world, just stay with it. ^ ^
Yeah, I have definately found this site to be informative. Just doing research on the topics of the week has helped me to uncover issues I've never thought about, not to mention all the kids on here speaking out on their political stances. I'm really quite inspired, I can't talk almost any of this stuff with my friends or kids from my school because they have no idea whats going on in the world!
But anyway, if you're into this sort of thing, I would highly recommend that you watch current tv... if you get it, or go to current.com. It's a site/ tv channel with pods and blogs and links and all kinds of things related to issues in the world today. But it's nothing like a news station where they're censored and they pretty much stay on the same topics all day. The pods are made by the viewers and they range from music and art to politics and to things you should know about that aren't being covered by mainstream media (for example, did you know engineers are working on an air-compressed fueled car that only needs to be filled up every 800 miles? ...it's supossed to be released in 2010, but who knows, our government has already covered the evidence of a once popular electric car that was overtaken by the hummer) :p anyway! happy blogging to you, I'll definately stop by to read some of your posts. And thanks for the advice!
